Murdoch University Library is fundraising in support of the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) by hosting a Great Book Swap event in its foyer from 10am to 2pm on Wednesday, 6th September – which just happens to be Indigenous Literacy Day.
The ILF buys books and publishes local stories for children in remote Indigenous communities, helping raise their literacy levels and instilling a lifelong love of reading.
The idea behind the swap is simple: you bring a favourite book to the Library, and swap it for someone else’s favourite – and you both make a gold coin donation.
Alternatively, you can make a donation directly to our fundraising page on the ILF’s website: https://goto.murdoch.edu.au/greatbookswap
